Hii! I’m Charlotte, and I photograph happy people in every walk of life.
It is so blimmin’ lovely to have you here!! WELCOME!
I live by the sea on the South coast of England with my 4 children, my partner Will, and our two very furry animals; Arty the Siberian cat and Sid the golden retriever.
I cannot function before my morning cup of tea. I use exclamation marks too many times!! I love live music, dancing whilst cooking dinner and sweets. I taught myself how to knit at the start of 2021 and I am completely obsessed. I have too many shoes and not enough tattoos. I love every shade of black, long walks, shopping and sitting in coffee shops (without my children). I can’t stand the patriarchy and I think 90% of the world’s problems are because of them. I also really love photographing people… I guess that’s why you’re here!?
East Sussex born and bred, I was one of 6 and our house was constantly noisy and full of life. I am 5th down the line and I am the true definition of a kid who has grown up in a big family.
I can’t stand silence, (it makes me feel really uncomfortable) and I hate eating alone. I love to chat and the second I pull away in my car I am ringing someone for a catch up.
Meal times were always such a social event growing up and I really love that I have my own brood to share meal times with now. We even eat off the exact table we had growing up with all its marks and stains from over the years!
I wish I could say I was one of those people who always loved the idea of photography but I really wasn’t. However, I love that this stumbled upon me, and my camera and I are now inseparable. I am entirely self taught and have been to heaps of workshops over the years and completely absorbed all the information I could find. I am a firm believer that there is always something new to learn and I like to think I will never stop learning. In 2012 I officially became self employed and I cannot even begin to tell you how lucky I feel to call this my job. Whatta life!
I photograph families and weddings all over the UK, primarily in East Sussex, but I also love to travel and feel very fortunate that I can take my camera along with me whilst making other people happy too. So, if you are getting married up the country or internationally then I would love to come along!
I was announced as one of Rangefinder's 2018 Family Photographers of the Year and honestly, I still find that so bloody cool.
